Emergency alert questions
01What happens when someone scans my car's QR code in an emergency?+
They see an option to send an emergency alert. If they use it, the emergency contacts you've listed are notified immediately by email and push notification, along with the scan location if it was shared.
02Can I control what medical information is shown?+
Yes. You choose exactly which fields - blood type, allergies, medical conditions - are visible, and they're only shown after someone confirms they're sending a genuine emergency alert, not on the general scan page.
03Is this a replacement for calling 999?+
No. Wheelyst's emergency alert notifies the people you've chosen, but for a life-threatening emergency, calling 999 always comes first. Wheelyst is designed to complement that, not replace it.
04Will the scanner see my emergency contact's phone number?+
It depends on your settings - you can choose to show a contact's name, relationship and phone number to the scanner, or keep their email private and let Wheelyst relay messages instead.
